Progress from War Years ～Video Testimonies of War Survivors During and After World WarⅡ～

This is the promotional video for “Progress from War Years: Testimonies of War Survivors during and after World War II," a collection of video-recorded testimonies of World War II survivors, now available for public viewing. In the testimonies, thirty survivors, who experienced the war in main island of Okinawa, its remote islands, mainland Japan, Taiwan, and Saipan, among other places, describe their experiences, beginning with life before the war to post-war recovery and reconstruction. This video contains excerpts of six of those testimonies.
